Life changes and challenges come in different forms at different times in our lives. Therapy can help you manage the challenges and make the changes you want.

Therapy is a safe supportive space for you to:

  • Pause, reflect, renew
  • Explore your feelings, thoughts, behaviours
  • Gain new insights and understanding
  • Make positive changes, enhance your life and live more fully.

People often choose to come to therapy because they are experiencing difficulties or distress in their lives. But you don't have to be in crisis to have therapy.

You might...

  • Be feeling overwhelmed, stuck, lost, anxious
  • Be seeking balance and direction in your life
  • Want to develop a better understanding of yourself
  • Want to improve your relationships.

Through self-awareness comes the possibility of choice and change.

At the heart of therapy is a collaborative relationship. A relationship built on trust, honesty and compassion.

Therapy includes counselling, psychotherapy and coaching. My approach is integrative and relational. I draw on my training and experience in the creative arts, humanistic therapy, cognitive behaviour therapy (CBT), and coaching to support our work together. We will agree and work in a way that support your goals or direction.

We will work in the present, explore past life events and relationships to help you understand your feelings, thoughts and behaviours, and consider what the future means for you.

As a registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) I am committed to providing a safe, confidential, non-judgemental space.

Beginning therapy - first steps

Contact me by email or text (07568308610) to arrange an initial session in person or online (Zoom). The initial session is about getting to know each other, exploring what brings you to therapy, your hopes for therapy and how we might work together. It is important that there is a 'fit' between therapist and client.

Frequently Asked Questions

Beginning therapy – first steps

Contact me by email or text to arrange an initial 50 min session in person or online via Zoom. The initial session is about getting to know each other, exploring what brings you to therapy, your hopes for therapy and how we might work together. It is important that there is a 'fit' between therapist and client.

How long and often are sessions?

Sessions are for 50-mins weekly, either in person or online via Zoom. Your commitment to regular weekly session attendance is important to the therapy process. We will regular review our work together normally every six to eight weeks.

What will happen in sessions/How will we work together?

Based on your hopes or goals for therapy and your preferences we may work on a focused and specific goal/s or a more open exploratory inquiry of a theme or issue.

Ending therapy

Endings are important. Ideally, we will discuss, plan and work towards your therapy ending together. If you decide to end therapy before a planned ending it is beneficial to have a final ending session.

Reviewing progress

We will regularly review our work together and reflect on your goals and direction for therapy.

Are sessions online or in person?

I work in person in Islington, North London, walking in parks and green spaces, from therapy rooms, and online via Zoom.

Working online

To work online you will need a stable internet connection and a private space where you can talk comfortably and uninterrupted by other people or pets. Using headphones can improve the sound quality and provides more privacy.

Fees and payment
  • Rates are £90 per session/hour, concessions available for low income clients.
  • Payment is made by debit/credit card immediately after each appointment.
  • I review my fees annually in December / January.
Rescheduling & Cancellation Policy

Changes to session dates are made via email. Holiday dates with at least 7 days’ notice, and cancelled sessions with at least 48hrs notice.  If less than 48hrs notice of cancellation is given (unless in an emergency) the full fee is payable.

If I am unable to attend a session because I am unwell or due to a personal emergency, I will contact you via email, with as much notice as possible, and if possible will offer you an alternative time.
